
The Convention & Visitors Bureau offers several programs to assist local organizations with funding for events.
Below is a brief description of each program. Please click on each program’s individual page to submit a form online or download the form following each description and mail the completed information to our office. View a printable overview here.
Prior to applying to the grant program, please make sure you add your event to our event calendar by filling out this form. As part of the requirements for the grant program, you must use the VisitFindlay logo on your marketing pieces, you can download the VisitFindlay logo here.
Co-Op Advertising Program
Designed to enhance marketing efforts with award amounts up to $3,500 in 50% matching funds. Activities with a local focus may be approved for up to $2,000 in 50% matching funds, i.e. at least $4,000 must be spent to receive $2,000. Activities with a regional focus (Approximately 1/3 of attendees from outside Hancock County) may be approved for up to $3,500 in 50% matching funds, i.e. at least $7,000 must be spent to receive $3,500. You may apply for one Co Op Advertising or one Community Connect Grant per event. Reimbursements are due 60 days after the competition of your event.

Community Connect Program
Designed for small events with award amounts up to $500. This simplified program is designed to support marketing and advertising for events and programs with smaller budgets. Unlike other programs, it does not require matching funds. Special consideration will be given to events taking place outside of the City of Findlay. You may apply for one Community Connect Grant per event, maximum of 3 per year. Reimbursements are due 60 days post event.

Tourism Growth Program
Aid in the enhancement or growth of an already established event. Award amount up to $5,000 in matching funds or up to 50% of the total enhancement budget. Projects through this program have the ability to be funded for 2 years. Limit of 1 Tourism Development or Growth grant per organization, per year. Can be combined with Co-op Advertising. Reimbursement Requests due 60 days after the conclusion of the event.

Tourism Development Program

Tournament Builder Program
Support non-profit organizers in establishing tournaments and competitions that will build awareness of the Findlay area and show a growth pattern that benefits the community. Must show a track record of overnight stays. 50% of total tournament budget, up to $5,000. Maximum of $30,000 awarded per organization per year. Reimbursement Requests due 60 days after the conclusion of the event.

Small Business Marketing Builder
Assist small businesses that have a tourism/hospitality focus with marketing to the region and local community. Business must meet with the CVB to discuss plan prior to submitting application. Artwork and marketing must be approved by CVB prior to placement. Award amount up to $1,000 in matching funds. $1,000 maximum gift in one calendar year.
