Chemistry happens all around you. There are chemical reactions outside in nature and there are chemical reactions inside your body. Join Hancock Park District as they talk about the basics of chemistry and try some basic chemistry experiments. You can look at different chemical reactions and properties by making invisible ink and a non-Newtonian fluid known as Oobleck, and by conducting the elephant toothpaste experiment.

Meet at the Discovery Center.  This free program is open to youth ages 12-14 with an adult.  Register online by 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18. Adults do not need to register.
