Celebrate Heritage Day with Mt. Blanchard! Cars from early 1900’s up to 1959 will be featured in the downtown show in the quaint village. Also featured will be antique tractors, hit or miss engines, vintage bicycles and kiddie cars.
New to the festival this year includes Sidewalk Chalk Artists, Hourly Antique Car Races at Island Park, Wood Carving Demonstrations, a presentation about prominent Hancock County residents by the Hancock County Historical Society, 50/50 raffle, and a Photo Booth with clothing styles from when Mt. Blanchard was founded. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase for the two wood pieces from the demonstration.
Kimmel’s Chicken or Pork BBQ will be held from 11 am to 2 pm. It includes 1/2 chicken or pork chop, 2 homemade sides, roll and beverage. Tickets may be purchased ahead of time at The Food Center or The Hair Stop in Mt. Blanchard or by calling 419-306-3073. A limited amount of dinners will be available the day of the event.
Other festival highlights include an Old-fashioned Pie tent and ice cream, Watermelon Stand, Kid’s Petting Zoo, craft vendors, food vendors, and a Kid’s Carnival at the United Methodist Church.
All proceeds from the festival go towards beautification projects in town and at the parks.
