Mount Cory Mt. Cory was founded in 1872. It was originally named Cory after D J Cory (a proprietor in the town). The name was changed to Mt. Cory to prevent confusion with the village of Carey. There has been a post office in use since 1873. Mt. Cory is located within the Cory-Rawson school district.
