The holiday season is full of magic. From the beautiful lights that dot our city to Santa making his visits around town, you just know it’s a special time.

But it also can be an expensive time.

Buying all of those gifts for ones you love can really make a dent in your budget. So when it comes to having holiday fun with your family, it can be hard to make it work.

Never fear! In Findlay, we have loads of free things to do for holiday fun. Here are just three that we think you need to get to this year:

WinterFest & Santa’s House

Is there any better way to celebrate the holidays than with this Findlay tradition?

Say hi to Santa at his house, and then cozy up on a carriage ride through downtown. And see your friends and neighbors gather for a merry, ole time. It’s the perfect way to prepare for the big day when Santa comes for his visit.

Caroling in Dorney Plaza

Do you love our beautiful tree in Dorney Plaza?

Gather around it on December 21 to lend your voice to your favorite holiday carols. Local choirs will be leading everyone in song during this festive time. You can admire the tree while seeing our community enjoying the holiday season with you. And when it ends, it’s the perfect time to make a stop at one of our local restaurants for a bite to eat or one of our local shops to finish your holiday shopping.

Classic Movie Night: Miracle on 34th Street

Do you enjoy introducing your kids to holiday classics?

The Hancock Historical Museum can help you do that this holiday season. Your kids will fall in love with the classic, Miracle on 34th Street, and you can rediscover your love for it. It’s a perfect free holiday activity that bridges the gap between your childhood and your kids’ childhoods. In addition, the staff will be providing historical information before and after the movie.
