Tony’s, the new home of the Hancock Sports Hall of Fame, is a great place to sit and enjoy Father’s Day, or take it home to enjoy there!

Feeding Dad will be easy this Father’s Day.  Takeout is available from many of his (and your) favorite restaurants, and several are running Father’s Day specials.  Tony’s Restaurant & Pub is running a special for dine-in or take-out, and who’s dad wouldn’t like Tony’s delicious BBQ?  Plus, did you know Tony’s is the new home of the Hancock Sports Hall of Fame?  Want to cook at home?  The Findlay Wine Merchant has been offering some great specials on provisions each week, this week they have a beef tenderloin that is trimmed, seasoned, and ready to hit the grill.  Miller’s Meats and The Dough Hook also have great meat packages for a family cook out at home.  And, don’t forget the cocktails to go!  Takeout drinks are still available from your favorite local bars and restaurants.  So if Dad has been talking about wanting an Old Fashioned from The Bourbon Affair, you can hook him up (just make sure to order it on Saturday!), Findlay Brewing Company is open on Sundays, so enjoy dinner at FBC or to-go, but definitely get a growler or crowler of this local brew.  Other local favorites Dad might enjoy on Sunday are Alexandria’s, Dark Horse, The Fern, Kathy’s Korner, Oler’s, Southside Family Restaurant, and Wildcat Cafe.

Spoil Dad

Thistle Exchange is constantly adding new items that would make a perfect Father’s Day gift, like this buffalo weather vane!

Need a gift for Dad?  Spoil him this Father’s Day with a local gift.  Objects of Desire Artful Living has many beautiful and artistic gift options…but they also have some high-brow humor items that will be sure to have Dad cracking up (we especially love the BlueQ socks!).  Thistle Exchange is full of beautiful items that anyone would enjoy, especially Dad!  They are constantly changing up the items in their shop, so now is a great time to pop in and see what you can discover.  Not that you need an excuse to visit RooBarb Studios, but their selection of gifts especially for men is a great one.  Pick something up for him, and maybe a few things for yourself too!

Spend Time with Dad

Is your dad missing live music? Celebrate Father’s Day on Saturday night and take him to MCPA’s Drive-In Concert featuring 12til2!

There aren’t as many events on the calendar as normal right now (but there is still a lot going on!), so you may be worried about what to do with Dad this Father’s Day.  Celebrate early with MCPA’s Drive-In Concert Series!  This concert will take place Saturday evening and is fun for the whole family.  The June 20 concert features local favorite 12til2.  If you miss out this week, celebrate Father’s Day a little late and take in the June 27 concert with Tongue n’ Groove.  If your Father’s Day celebrations include little ones make plans to visit Northwest Ohio Railroad Preservation, which is reopening on June 20.  Rides on the quarter-scale train are always affordable, but this year they are offering Season Passes!  If your celebrations are including kids of the 21+ variety, hit up some of the spots on the History with a Twist: Craft Cocktail Passport!  This program is launching this Friday and will run all summer, try the cocktails at the participating locations and vote for your favorites!  You can purchase the passports at the Hancock Historical Museum beginning Friday, June 19.

If you’re looking for some chill Father’s Day plans you can always visit our parks, rent a canoe or kayak at Zonta Landing, enjoy a quiet country drive with Barn Quilt Trail, or walk the self-guided Historic Homes Walking Tour.

However your family is celebrating Father’s Day in Findlay we hope it is a great one!
