Findlay was no different but because we had a booming economy from 1880’s to 1900’s, it made its way here. The Gas & Oil industry made Findlay famous and attractive to business owners, bankers, new factories and the men needed to do the hard and messy work required in the gas & oil industry. However word travels fast to the pickpockets, burglars, thieves and the saloon and bawdy house groups.
