National Squirrel Appreciation Day

January 21 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

There are several types of squirrels in our parks, but do you know which one is considered a night glider? The squirrel is very helpful in the forest because it is always hiding nuts for winter. If the nuts are not eaten, they can grow into new trees. Join Hancock Park District on a hike, where you can look for squirrel nests. Do not go nuts inside, get some fresh air outside on the trails.

Meet at the Discovery Center Porch. This free program is open to families, registration is not required.
