National Weed Appreciation Day

March 28 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

In nature, there are many things we refer to as weeds. Join Hancock Park District as they take a look at just how important some weeds are, such as the milkweed that gives life to the monarch caterpillar.

Other plants, such as the dandelion, stinging nettle, plantain, lemon balm, and burdock have many uses. Have you ever enjoyed a dandelion cookie? Recipes using edible weeds will be available to look at and take home.

This free program is open to those 18 and up.  Meet at the Discovery Center, registration is not required.
