Planetarium: Monoceros and Draco
February 21 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
FreeEvent Navigation
The unicorn and the dragon are two mythical creatures that still mystify us today. Join Hancock Park District to learn about these beasts that take shape as constellations in the night sky.
While Draco is a circumpolar constellation (one that is out every night of the year), February is the best month to view Monoceros. After the planetarium show, participants will have the chance to make a set of unicorn horns or dragon spikes.
Participants are required to sit on the floor. Ask about accommodations.
Meet at the Discovery Center. This free event is open to families with children ages 4 and up. Registration is required by 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21.
