Zombies have become popular in mainstream media over the last few decades, but what if they are real? Join Hancock Park District and learn about the infection of cordyceps fungus within ants and how it turns them into “zombies.” We will discuss the infection methods of cordyceps, what happens to ants once infected, cordyceps in popular media, and how humans use the cordyceps fungus.
