The Hancock Historical Museum invites visitors of all ages to experience the rich heritage of Findlay and Hancock County through thoughtfully curated exhibits, hands-on learning, and beautifully preserved historic structures. The museum campus features highlights such as the Hull Flater House, Crawford Log House, Agricultural Barn, Exhibit Center, and the Marathon Energy & Transportation Annex. Whether your interests include agriculture, antique cars, architecture, or local industry, the exhibits and programs offer meaningful connections for everyone.

Monthly offerings like the Brown Bag Lecture Series and Classic Movie Nights keep history engaging, while beloved community events such as Oktoberfest Findlay! German Heritage Festival, the Historic Homes Tour, and the Historic Barn Tour bring the stories of the county’s past to life in fun and memorable ways. The museum also serves as a welcoming resource for those looking to explore Hancock County’s history more deeply.

The museum also oversees the Little Red Schoolhouse located at 8884 County Road 236. While the schoolhouse is open by appointment only, the property also features the Brucklacher Memorial Park with a playground, sculptures, picnic pavilion and history walk, open to the public from dusk until dawn.
