Unlike its namesake, “Disc Golf” doesn’t require hundreds of dollars worth of equipment and greens fees, plaid pants or dorky shoes. It’s fun, it’s unique, its cheap and anyone can play! Luckily for you, Hancock County has several great courses to choose from. So grab a friend, or six, get a few discs, and cruise over to one of these great nearby locations.

…ok, ok. If you really want to wear plaid, we won’t stop you.

Riverbend Disc Golf Trail

16618 Township Road 208, Findlay

 Get ready for an adventure: Riverbend boasts a 1.8 mile 18-hold disc golf “trail” through the forest and fields along the Blanchard River – historical setting for the song “Down By The Old Mill Stream”. Shelters, lake, hiking, biking and campgrounds are nearby.

Firestine Park

900 Fifth Street, Findlay

Enjoy flat terrain with a variety of trees at this nine-hole course. Interesting challenges are presented by the final four baskets which border Eagle Creek. Grills and play equipment are located on-site – A great place for a picnic!

Van Buren State Park

12259 Township Road 218, Van Buren

This re-designed18-hole course plays alongside Van Buren Lake. It traverses open picnic areas, wooded pines, rolling terrain along the lake shore and shaded areas throughout the park while offering both novice and expert players some challenging features.

McComb

The Village Park in McComb, Ohio (Just off of N. Park Street/St.Rte.235/St.Rte.186)

This nine-hole course is nestled between two reservoirs. It has a good use of elevation, and a small wooded section that houses three holes. Overall it is easy to play, with moderate challenge. There are plans to expand the course in the future.
