A Total Solar Eclipse is coming to Findlay on April 8 - but there is fun to be had all weekend long!  Check out some of the events happening in Findlay in celebration of the eclipse! • VisitFindlay.comHopefully you’ve heard – our area will be experiencing a total solar eclipse on April 8!  While the main event will happen on April 8 at 3:10 p.m., our community has been preparing and hosting programs and events for months.  The culmination of all that planning is now – don’t miss out on the Eclipse fun happening this weekend!

Rally at Ali’s

You know and love Rally in the Alley in the summer, kick-off eclipse weekend with a version at Alexandria’s Upper Deck on Friday, 5 – 8 p.m.!  Rally at Ali’s will feature Violet Vinyl, a 3-piece band from Findlay while you enjoy Alexandria’s food and drinks.  Plus, check out the new duckpin bowling!  Children are welcome until 8 p.m.

Lights Out Tour

Tickets are available now for the Lights Out Tour at MCPA in celebration of the eclipse!

3 musicians will come together for a show at Marathon Center for the Performing Arts on Friday beginning at 7:30 p.m.  During the Lights Out Tour, musicians Kyle Fields, Lee Gantt, and Chad Clark will craft an evening that is the perfect overture for the eclipse.  Purchase your tickets here!

Camp Berry Solar Eclipse Party

Camp Berry will host activities all weekend long!  Geared towards children ages 6 – 17 and open to the public and scouts, Camp Berry will have archery, BBs, Nature Hiking, STEM activities, rockets, and more.  Registration is required!

Great Solar Eclipse Over Ohio

Take a peek through the Millstream Astronomy Club’s telescopes as you learn more about the stars and the eclipse!

Saturday evening meet with members of the Millstream Astronomy Club at Riverbend Park to learn a little more about the eclipse and to look through the Millstream Astronomy Club’s telescopes to see Jupiter and four of its largest moons, as well as other stars and wonders in the spring night sky.  No registration required, all ages are welcome to this free event.

Forward to the Moon

Sunday afternoon plan to be at University of Findlay’s Newhard Planetarium to navigate space  and land on the moon.  This program is free, however registration is required!

Hancock Hotel Eclipse Extravaganza

Sunday Evening from 6 – 10 p.m. plan to be at The Hancock Hotel to commemorate the eclipse!  Hancock Park District’s mobile planetarium will be on-site, local magician Nathaniel will be showing off his tricks, there will be photo booths, and more.  Open to both guests of the hotel and public, purchase your tickets here.

Pre-Eclipse Parties

Eclipse fun from Imagination Station is waiting for your family at some of the pre-eclipse parties.

Saturday plan your visit to Findlay Brewing Company for their Celestial Bash. From 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Imagination Station will be on-site for the release of FBC’s eclipse bear and for some eclipse fun.  Sunday continues the Pre-Eclipse celebrations, with West End Tavern kicking off their party at 11 a.m.  There will be special tshirts, drinks, great food, and more. Beginning at 2 p.m. Alexandria’s will open their doors for their PrE-clipse Party at the taproom and The Upper Deck.  That evening from 5 – 7 p.m., plan to head to Mt. Blanchard for an Out of the World Eclipse Dinner!  Purchase items like Crater Potator soup, Ring of Fire chili, Rocket Dogs, Moon Pies, and more a la carte, and enjoy the free presentation from Imagination Station. 

After Eclipse Star Party

The eclipse may be over in the afternoon but the fun continues with an After Eclipse Star Party at Riverbend Park.  HPD Staff will point out constellations and talk about their folklore, and use their telescopes to look at Jupiter, distant stars, and deep space objects.

Live Music & Food Trucks

All weekend long there will be opportunities to tap your toes to some of the best local talent in Northwest Ohio.  Plus, food trucks will be out in full-force.  See where they will be set up here!

Happening this Week
