All About Eggs

April 18 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Event Navigation

It is nesting time for many animals that lay eggs. There will be a display of eggs from different animals, such as ducks, geese, turkey, shark, and ostrich. We will talk about the process an egg goes through to hatch. For example, a mallard duck will lay one egg each day until the preferred number of eggs are reached; some animals are not concerned about the number of eggs, they just want to sit on eggs; and the temperature of the sea turtle egg can determine if the turtle will be male or female.

Meet at the Discovery Center.  All ages are welcome to this free program, registration is not required.
