One of the best times to start birdwatching is in winter when you can find many of our common backyard birds and when it is easier to spot them in the bare trees. Join Hancock Park District as they talk about the proper use of binoculars, how to identify birds, and common backyard birds. Afterward, go on a hike to see what kinds of birds we can find in the park and then warm up in the Discovery Center and watch the birds at the feeders. Binoculars will be provided or bring your own.

Meet at the Discovery Center.  This free program is open to families with children ages 6 and up.  Registration is not required.
