Today is the day when the groundhog comes out of its hole to see if there will be six more weeks of winter. Come to Litzenberg Memorial Woods and learn about the history of Groundhog Day and why groundhogs come out of their burrows this time of year. Join your friends at Hancock Park District for a hike in search of groundhogs and their burrows and look for our shadows and a hint of spring.

Meet at the Activity Barn.  This free program is open to families with children 5 and older.  Registration is not required.
