For most pioneers, mid-November meant gathering the last of the harvests and getting ready for winter. See how the McKinnis family is storing foods such as sweet potatoes, dried beans, and parsnips. Hancock Park District will have baked squash and pumpkin cookies for tasting. Chores, like filling the wood box for the upcoming winter season, will also be taking place.
