Pine Needle Brushes
November 21 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
FreeCreate your own tiny brush made of pine needles that you can use to help clean off dirt from things like a table or desk. Join Hancock Park District for a short hike to learn about a pine tree, the types of pine trees found in Ohio, and other pine-like trees. While hiking, collect pine needles to use in our brushes. When we return to the shelter we will use yarn, ribbons, and some beads to create a few brushes. While we are making our brushes, we will discuss other uses for the pine tree and their needles.
Meet at the Marianna Dana Younger Memorial Pavilion. This free program is best for children ages 10-13; registration is not required.
