Pioneer Plant Medicine

May 21 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

We are fortunate to be able to drive to the local pharmacy to pick up medicine to combat illnesses. But what did the pioneers do?

Hancock Park District will discuss the historical use of different natural remedies used by the pioneers to fight illnesses. You will have the chance to see the various plants used in the mid-1800s and how those remedies progressed to the medicine we use today.

Meet at Shelter 3.  This free program is open to adults ages 18 and up.  Registration is required by 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21.
