My family and I love our holiday tradition of visiting Kaleidoscope Farms. We have a very specific plan when we go there: run up and down every row of trees, hee-haw with the donkey in the stable, cluck with the chickens or the rooster, and get a photo with the reindeer in the background.
When we’re freezing cold or even if we’re hot and sweaty during a warm Ohio late fall, we make sure to warm up with a complimentary cup of the most delicious cider, ever! I personally love browsing their gift shop – I almost always find “the gift” I give to everyone on my list. This year, I purchased homemade hot chocolate mixes and homemade marshmallows! Once everyone is settled and we’ve each taken part of our favorite traditions, we select our tree.
My young boys like yelling “timber” as Jeff or Jay saw down our perfect tree. And, then we watch every step of the preparation of our tree before it is attached to our rooftop. We warm up the car and Perry Como is already singing Silent Night before we pull out from the parking lot.

You have to look up and down the rows of trees to find the perfect one!
Honestly, Kaleidoscope Farms makes us feel like we’re at home. It’s full of special traditions for us and run by the most wonderful family who truly care about every tree and every guest. I would highly recommend this local, family-owned tree farm that I know is special to Hancock County and especially important to me and my family. Merry Christmas!
