Chalk-A-WalkDowntown Findlay is a happening place lately and this weekend is no exception!

Chalk artists from around the area will be showing their stuff on our downtown sidewalks in an event called Chalk-A-Walk. Their colorful displays will be created throughout the day on Saturday, and you can watch it all happen from start to finish. The event starts at 9 am, and here is how we think you should plan your day:

9 am

Give the teams a little time to get started and grab a little breakfast. Great options are We Serve. Coffee, Scrambler Marie’s and Coffee Amici

Mid-Morning

Walk around and say hi to the teams completing masterpieces. Take pictures and post them to Instagram using the hashtag #visitfindlay.

Once you’ve made the rounds, make a stop in some of our downtown stores. We have a little something for everyone. A few of our favorites are Kiya Papaya, Trends on Main and DorAnne’s.

Lunch

No trip to Findlay’s downtown is complete without a trip to Main Street Deli. Take the time to be impressed by their reminders to, “Be nice!” And enjoy the decor of this Findlay favorite. But don’t forget to sample the monster cookie.

Mid-Afternoon

Take another trip to look at the progress on the masterpieces. Significant progress should be made by then, and we guarantee that you will be impressed with the artistry on display.

Then stop in any stores you were not able to stop in before. This would be a great time to check out the event sponsor, Gaslight Gallery, and marvel at other artwork from local artists.

You may also want to take a detour down Main Street to check out our beautiful historic homes.

Late Afternoon/Dinner

Take one more spin to see the completed masterpieces, and be sure to thank the artists for their work.

Finish your Downtown Findlay day with fantastic drinks and a great meal at one of our wonderful local restaurants. May we suggest Alexandria’s, Logan’s,The Gathering, Japan West or  The Bistro on Main?

However you do it, Chalk-A-Walk guarantees to be an excellent event this weekend. Be sure to get out and have some fun with us!
