Middle School Survival Guide

June 10 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Are you a middle-school student? Maybe you’re starting middle school in the fall? Maybe you’ve already been in middle school for a year or two? Would you like a space to learn how to navigate the changes and challenges that come with being a middle-school student? Then join us for our Middle School Survival Guide series with Laura Breece from the Family Resource Center. Each session will explore a different topic through games and hands-on activities. While this is a student-only program, we will provide handouts with additional information for families.

June 10 – Friendships: We will be exploring what builds a trusting friendship, including posting kindly on social media.
June 24 – Confidence in Your Abilities: We will be exploring growth mindset and grit, or turning Impossible into I’m Possible by having a positive attitude.
July 8 – Expressing Your Needs: We will explore learning to speak up for yourself and ask for what you need.
July 22 – Organization, Time Management, & Study Skills: We will explore organization, time management, and study skills.
