One of the surefire signs of summer is when you see the Farmers’ Markets and farm stands start to pop up.   Hancock County is a hub of the agricultural industry and we have many great ways to support our local growers and makers throughout the summer and spring.

Arcadia Farmers’ Market

Every Other Tuesday, 4 – 6 p.m.
Trinity Lutheran Church, Arcadia

Mt. Blanchard Farmers’ Market

Wednesdays, 4 – 6 p.m.
Hurricane Park, Mt. Blanchard

New this year is Mt. Blanchard’s Farmers’ Market, bringing fresh and local goods to town every week from June 8 – August 31.  Hosted by the Mt. Blanchard Beautification Committee, interested vendors may contact Karen Beard to sign up, 330-283-7111.  See all the upcoming dates here.

Hancock County Farmers’ Market

Thursdays, 4 – 6 p.m.
MCPA Festival Grounds, Downtown Findlay

The Hancock County Farmers’ Market is back again at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts in Downtown Findlay.  The market will have vendors selling all types of goods and produce, you can see the vendor directory here.  The market will continue every Thursday in Downtown Findlay through October.  See all the upcoming dates here.

Bluffton Farmers’ Market

Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. – Noon
Citizen’s National Bank Parking Lot, Downtown Bluffton

The Bluffton Farmers’ Market has been a longstanding tradition in the area as one of the largest markets in the area.  The market vendors are back in full force offering homemade goods, produce, plants, and flowers to you.  See the vendor directory here.  The Bluffton Market will continue every Saturday through October.  See all the upcoming dates here.

Fostoria Farmers’ & Artisans’ Market

Select Saturdays and Thursdays

The Fostoria Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market takes place on select Thursdays and Saturdays May – September with different themes and special activities at each market!  The market takes place at the grass lot at East Tiffin and South Main Streets in Fostoria.  See all the upcoming dates here.

Farm Stands

As the growing season continues many local farm stands have seasonal locations that are open regularly to provide you with local produce.

Wolfe’s Produce

Wolfe’s Produce, located between Findlay and Mt. Blanchard, is a staple for those looking for farm fresh food.  With seasonal local produce and Amish goods delivered every Wednesday, you will want to be sure to make Wolfe’s a regular stop.

Metzger Farms

Metzger’s Farm Market is back again!  This seasonal farm stand will open in mid-July and is located along US-224 near Alvada has locally grown corn, melon, and other produce.  Metzger’s is regularly at the Hancock County Farmers’ Market and is also open Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Suters Produce

While Suter Produce is located in neighboring Putnam County, you can find one of Suter’s Red Barn Markets located on Tiffin Avenue near Panera Bread.  The Red Barn Markets is open Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
