Marathon Center for the Performing Arts AtriumLove is in the air. And with Valentine’s Day right around the corner, we know some of you are planning on popping that big question. But where is the best place to get engaged in Findlay?

We are totally on the side of picking a place that has been a part of your relationship. Perhaps your first date was at one of our many restaurants. Or maybe there’s a special place where you first said, “I love you.” Those would definitely make wonderful spots to ask that special question.

But if none of those spots feel quite right, we know a few more that would be amazing places to get engaged.

Marathon Center for the Performing Arts

Does your sweetie have a love of the arts and beautiful architecture? The Marathon Center for the Performing Arts would make a wonderful backdrop for an engagement. The atrium is absolutely stunning and would make any pictures of the event look remarkable. Plus you can smile over the night you got engaged every time you see a show.

The Arch on the University of Findlay Campus

Are you an alum of the University of Findlay? Then you can’t beat getting engaged under the arch. Whether it’s the beautifully manicured grounds or the beauty of the nearby buildings, there’s a special feeling in that place. And your friends and family can easily be stationed nearby to pop out when the answer is yes!

Mazza Museum

Do you have a child that you’d like to be a part of the proposal? You might want to consider Mazza Museum. As you glance at all of the gorgeous illustrations and then pick up a book to read to your child together, you can tell your love that this is the way you always want it to be as you ask that big question. And then buy that special book in the gift shop.

Under a Downtown Mural

Have you noticed the murals that have popped up downtown? Imagine being down on one knee with one of those murals as a backdrop. We suggest going behind The Gathering to pop the question under a Van Gogh masterpiece. But if you are about to get engaged to a Pink Floyd fan, you might want to consider checking out the Dark Side of the Moon. Or perhaps your Valentine is a die-hard Findlay fan. Then get engaged under the mural of Findlay icons. You can find the latter two murals across from the Hancock County Courthouse. The best part of this plan? You can stop by one of our downtown restaurants for celebratory drinks!

A Walk to See the Historic Homes

Do you like to dream with your sweetie? Then take a walk on South Main Street to dream about living in one of the many beautiful, historic homes. As you ask that all-important question, you can say you are always home when you are with your partner. Then you can relive this moment every year when this becomes your first family tradition.

Did you get engaged in Findlay? Where did you do it?
