One of the surefire signs of summer is when you see the Farmers’ Markets start to pop up. Hancock County is a hub of the agricultural industry and we have many great ways to support our local growers and makers throughout the summer and spring.

The Hancock County Farmers’ Market has put procedures in place recommended by the Ohio Farmers’ Market Network. These policies include no live music, demonstrations, or samples, providing hand sanitizer and disposable plastic bags at each vendor table, and asking shoppers to only send one person per household to the market. Vendor tables will also be more spread out than in previous years and vendors will be wearing masks. The market will continue every Thursday in Downtown Findlay through October.

The Bluffton Farmers’ Market has put a plan in action to keep both shoppers and vendors safe. The first half hour of the market, from 8:30 – 9 a.m. has been reserved for seniors and high risk shoppers. In addition, many vendors are accepting preorders and are offering contactless payments, as well as delivery. Masks are requested to be worn by both vendors and shoppers, and hand sanitizer will be provided at vendor tables. Visitors are asked to limit their shopping to just one person and not to touch the products. The Bluffton Market will continue every Saturday through October.
