Enjoy a night at Fort Findlay Playhouse!
Sometimes we all need a little escape from reality, if only for an evening. Fort Findlay Playhouse provides us with that escape by consistently providing our community with quality entertainment at an affordable price. The theatre began presenting shows in 1954 at various locations around Findlay. In 1968, they found their permanent location. This quaint and cozy little theater is located on the corner of Sandusky and West streets, within walking distance of downtown Findlay.
With anywhere from 5 – 7 shows a season, this talented group of volunteers works hard both on stage and behind the scenes to ensure each audience member has a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Because it’s a smaller, more intimate theater, audience members feel like they are a part of the show. There really is not a bad seat in the house. I’ve been to many different genres of shows at the playhouse and each one has been delightfully entertaining. The shows draw you in, transport you to another place and time and make you think, laugh and cry.
Whether you like musicals, dramas or comedies, you will certainly find something you enjoy. The Playhouse has presented such well known shows as Scrooge, A Christmas Story, Harvey, Legally Blonde the musical, Guys and Dolls, Annie, 1776, Hello Dolly, 12 Angry Men, One Flew Over the Cukoos Nest, Steel Magnolias and The Music Man. Every time I see a show there I am amazed at the quality of talent right here in our own community.
There’s really no need to drive hours for a fantastic night on the town when you can enjoy a delicious dinner at one of our amazing restaurants and a show at Fort Findlay Playhouse.
